Brownout in Minglanilla Because of Typhoon Pablo.

We are busy waiting for typhoon Pablo to hit and already have heavy winds and rain. Power is out and currently running everything off the generator.

Getting an update on CDO and other parts of the Philippines looks like some areas have been hit pretty hard as the rains now begin the floods after heavy rains.

So far so good here and we generally don’t get too badly affected yet one of our neighbours has already lost 2 roof sections.

Things seem a bit better organised than usual as well nationwide with over 40,000 people evacuated before the storms hit. Although the media are busy drumming things up to keep people watching I still get the feeling that we as usual will be spared of any floods or wind damage.

But hoping those in other areas that were hit bad with the storms and flooding can recover quickly and get back to a normal life. It does appear looking at the TV as I type a lot of property damage has happened as well as some fishing boats being damaged. Not sure how bad things are nationally but no doubt will get an update in the next 24 hours.
