The SNAP hydroponics system is up and running we’ve started several different plants off to see how things develop. The pipe system was also completed this week after spending a couple of days with leaks. The main issue being the sealant we use takes over 4 hours to set so was a case of adding it, wait until the next day before soak testing again to see if it had sealed. Getting back on tangent mind the sealed white box you can see in the photo has at least 6 different types of plants but we have found our spring onions in the black basin at the back struggling with the solution mix. Not quite sure why but time will tell if it settles down. At the moment its still early stages and I am currently organising another 17 plants in from another part of the Philippines to establish a good set of mother plants before we start setting up seedlings for sale. Ideally we are looking at selling the white boxes complete with a good mix of stock for people to use at home for the kitchen. Having Rosemary, Basil,Oregano as well as many other varieties of herbs at hand can make food a lot more interesting to eat. This is the first week so at the moment as you can see things are still early on in getting going but give it a fortnight and you should be able to see some major plant successes in growth.

Great idea hope more people pickup this and introduce it to the locals to help feed themselves.
This looks a great idea wonder if it will work in the UK?
Herbs in a box fantastic idea without any maintenance needed!
