Short distance travel in the Philippines can be cheaply obtained by using the local tricycles which are basically a cheaply constructed sidecar on the side of a motorbike. At the same time you have to way up the area your in as often they can be a complete death trap. For example along a main highway would say avoid them like the plague while in a built up area heavy with congestion your a lot safer due to everyone moving slower.
We often use them ourselves as you can see as its a cheap way to get the family around in the local area. In this case it was Zoei,Ewe,April and Ritchel Zoei’s helper heading back home while I headed into town with some friends. I won’t guarantee the quality or safety of the vehicles simply because they are built for mobility not safety.
