TropicalPenpals was originally an idea to give as much information on the Philippines as possible. It came about because on my first trip to Cebu I had bought E-Books which were a decade at least out of date and the material was pretty useless and the fact the forums seemed to struggle to get a “fair” view of things over due to many admins having commercial interest. TropicalPenpals.com has made an income on Google which pays its costs (just about). But it doesnt cover the hours and months I have spent developing the project. Its not done for money its done to help others like me who are moving to a new life in the Philippines. So the new WordPress MU setup we have just installed is the next stage as this opens up new possibilities. Firstly I can split up Tropicalpenpals into different sections as it simply has outgrown WordPress (over 1000 articles on the original blog). Instead we will have blogs on fish farming, goat raising, sustainable projects etc etc. literally the beginning of around 20 blogs just from the things I will be doing. BUT also there is another side as simply YOU can write a blog for free on here you just pick your name of your blog and away you go. Welcome to TropicalPenpals! only request I will make is that anything written isnt sexually orintated e.g. the sex industry. But pretty much anything else is fine. If you are worried it might end up deleted please email me first and I will be happy to give you a decision straight away (mattwilkie@tropicalpenpals.com).
