Things are almost ready for opening. Permits hopefully up and running by the end of next week. The problems we have been having with Windows XP are pretty much all ironed out and all the other stuff and fluff software is installed. Its took all day to update the machines and tomorrow will start installing the rest of the updates early so we can start to relax. Hoping Gio and some of his friends will come over for a few hours of free trials to see what software we “need” and what software has bugs in it. I was glad the server got up and running early on as it made installations to the other machines so much faster just need to find versions of some of the software I can download instead of HAVING to download on each PC. E.g. Yahoo messenger which is a piece of software I hate for adding all its junk all over the place instead of just the messenger software. So no doubt will be doing a bit of sweeping tomorrow to get rid of the extras the installs have conveniently added including the fight over the search engine spot that a lot of software seems to bundle lately. Funny thing is it has the opposite affect as I am more likely to delete it because it tried to install it automatically than I would if it asked.

We also had our first visitor to the Cafe today a Gecko that has moved from the house. I hadnt seen it before but was a bit surprised after normally seeing small lizards to see one that is over 1ft long staring at me from behind the roof joist. Its good to have the critters running around mind as they keep the bug population down inside the house/cafe. Anyway time to sleep its 3am and I will have to be up early tomorrow to finish the cafe off.
