There is no other word to describe these people other than Stupid, why? Firstly its a word they will not like to hear but also their actions have put others at risk. Reports of flooding in downtown Cebu as well as other areas, places hit by Tsunami reports as well as many other things these stupid people have reported on today and spread in social media.
What has happened is some people have heeded warnings that were fake and have even been panic buying or evacuating from areas, all because of fake scares. Personally I think the people spreading these rumours need to be prosecuted because of the risk they pose to other people.
The Philippines government is often criticised for not doing enough in emergencies yet imagine every time there is some minor crisis people and the media started reporting fake information as facts? Because it does happen here and what obviously can happen is people get used to hearing someone “cry wolf” and in a real emergency don’t evacuate or take other precautions they should have.
If your one of these stupid people wake up and realise the dangers and risks you cause other people by your idiotic actions.
