Dancing Traffic enforcer in the Philippines

I came across this link via expatinthephilippines.com and just wanted to add a bit of an article as the fact of the matter is not that he dances while controlling traffic but that the guy sees the positive in what he does and makes the best of a situation that has poor pay and long hours. I learned many years ago to smile even if life isnt great simply because it reflects on others. Infact people have asked my wife before “why is Matt always smiling?” truth of the matter is its like yawning if one person yawns everyone does. Smiling at people has so many positive meanings and feelings you will bring a bit of sunshine even into the most miserable of people. The traffic enforcer has the same thing he is working away at a job that just about pays the bills but at the same time creates rays of sunshine for people in the congested traffic changing the conversation from “i was stuck in a traffic jam” to “have you seen the dancing traffic enforcer?”. A lot of people can learn from this guy and I wish him well.

Hi Matt, this video of the dancing traffic enforcer is great. One of my brother-in-laws, Amando,is a traffic enforcer in Palawan and got shot at his first week on the job! Maybe Amando needs to be a dancer, too.

  • Matt Wilkie:

    Hi Dave,
Hope Amando is ok. Can but try :)   maybe the dancing keeps people on a lighter note.
